No it’s not because Kiva was busy working on commissions for paying customers.
Its not because she would rather put out art for her Patreon.
It’s not because she would rather make videos about getting high on YouTube.
It’s not because she averages hundreds of tweets a day, totaling over 8,000 in the last 30 days!
Its because of…Harassment?
Let’s take a closer look at how this train wreck came about. Kiva started her scam with her feminist deck stickers which she quickly canceled. According to that KickStarter the art was already pretty much done. Let’s go over that point again, THE ART WAS DONE BEFORE THE PROJECT EVER LAUNCHED.
Kiva couldn’t manage to raise more than $82 dollars though and canceled the project.
Kiva then relaunches the project with a lofty goal of $22,500 in may of 2015 & gets an interview with The Mary Sue to help promote her KickStarter, she easily hits her goal & updates regularly until the crowdfunding campaign comes to an end.
Once she received the ~$30,000 Kiva went to monthly updates, which is still totally understandable considering she was supposed to be working on her #FeministDeck.
Come late September and the excuses start coming along. With only 2 months until December Kiva starts explaining the lack of progress.
Then her computer breaks and there is a “1 week delay” and this is where it all falls apart. Kiva’s updates become infrequent at best, and she does not log in to her KickStarter for over a month.
Months later as skeptics begin to doubt how legitimate this project is, all updates are made private, and the #FeministDeck goes another 6 months without an update.
Prior to her admitting she will never finish her #FeministDeck her last login was June 2nd, despite remaining extremely active online as her own backers started to point out.
July 5th Kiva announces an…announcement that will cause a lot of “harassment”. Yes “harassment”, because blatantly stealing $30,000 is worth pointing out. Now some of you may look at all the provided evidence above and still feel like she was actually going to finish this project, please allow me to explain why it was all a scam.
The “Thank You Page” for example would have been a simple list of names and/or initials that she could have easily posted on her own website. The estimated date for this level one reward was 11 months ago, but it was never completed.
The “Thank You Card” was going to be a single simple card featuring art from the deck which was supposed to be delivered about 8 months ago, back in December of 2015. The card was never printed or shipped.
The coloring book was also supposed to make it out in December of 2015 and was only 30 pages, Kiva had already shown enough art to easily send this off to be printed and shipped but once again that never happened.
A digital copy of all the art used to make the #FeministDeck this could have been a simple download from her website, and yet once again she never delivered.
All of these backer rewards were supposed to be out months ago. That’s not even considering Kiva had most if not all of the art done from her earlier failed KickStarter. Her “Thank You” page could have been done the day after the project was fully funded but she couldn’t bother to even do that.
All of this considered would leave any sane person to the conclusion that she took this money and decided to try and become the next SJW Darling in the hopes that she could make a career out of hanging out on twitter and posting YouTube videos. It failed miserably and now she’s claiming it was because of “harassment”. A cursory glance at everything she has done clearly illustrates that she was too busy working on anything but her #FeministDeck & with failure looming ever closer Kiva did the only thing she knows how to and cried “harassment”, all the way to the bank. Enjoy the $30,000, hopefully you can make it last longer than your credibility ever did.
